Use
In English it is unusual to separate the verb and the object in a sentence as is often done in German.
Note: We also recommend putting the time phrase to the end of the sentence.
Form
Positive Sentences
I drive to work by car every day (not: I drive every day to work by car)
I wrote an email to the customer last week (not: I wrote last week an email to the customer)
Negative Sentences
We haven’t sent the goods to Italy yet
I didn’t speak to John this morning
